Who we are

About Kei Cooper

Director & Owner

Kei Cooper (pronounced Kay) is a highly experienced hairdresser and remedial massage therapist, with over 25 years in hairdressing and more than a decade in massage therapy.

Known for her calm, personalised approach, Kei offers one-on-one hair and remedial massage services designed to support both physical results and overall wellbeing. Her philosophy is simple — quality over quantity, with every appointment delivered with care, attention to detail, and without the rush of a traditional salon or clinic.

Kei’s career has taken her to world-class environments, including One & Only Hayman Island and Velaa Private Island Resort in the Maldives. These experiences shaped her high standards and deep understanding of premium client care.

She has also worked alongside physiotherapists in clinical settings, gaining experience in evidence-based treatment methods, including working with clients managing scoliosis and other spinal conditions.

This unique combination of luxury service and clinical knowledge allows Kei to deliver treatments that are both effective and deeply restorative.

Hairdressing

Kei began her career in 1998, completing her apprenticeship in Brisbane before moving to Hamilton Island, where she specialised in wedding and event hair styling. Working in a high-demand environment with multiple weddings daily, she developed speed, precision, and consistency at a high level.

She later worked in leading Gold Coast salons, including Oscar Oscar at Palazzo Versace, where she became an Artistic Director and educator, training stylists to meet premium industry standards.

Today, Kei offers personalised hairdressing services in a more intimate setting, where each client is looked after from start to finish — creating a relaxed experience and genuine connection.

Remedial Massage Therapy

After completing her Diploma of Remedial Massage Therapy, Kei built her experience in luxury resort settings, including One & Only Hayman Island and Velaa Private Island in the Maldives, treating a wide range of clients with diverse needs.

She later expanded into clinical environments, working within physiotherapy clinics and developing her skills in treating muscular tension, postural imbalances, and spinal conditions.

Her treatments combine remedial massage techniques with a holistic approach, supporting both physical recovery and mental relaxation.
